1. Who we are

This website is operated by Saconato Aoki & Company, based in Brazil ("we"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy, under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, "LGPD").

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data you choose to send us through the contact form: your name, work email, company and the content of your message. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website stores your language preference (English or Portuguese) in your own browser; this information never reaches us.

3. Why we use it

We use your data solely to reply to your message and, if you wish, to discuss and prepare a possible engagement. The legal bases are steps taken at your request prior to a contract (LGPD, art. 7, V) and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (LGPD, art. 7, IX). We do not sell your data or use it for marketing without your consent.

4. Who processes it with us

The website and its contact form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., and our email is provided by Google. Both may store data on servers outside Brazil, including in the United States. These transfers follow the safeguards provided by the LGPD (art. 33) and the contractual terms of each provider.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your messages for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to two years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law or you become a client.

6. Your rights

You may, at any time, request confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of your data, information about who we share it with, and withdrawal of consent where applicable (LGPD, art. 18). You may also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
